Listen to the new age national anthem

Some of the best-known Indian classical and popular musicians came together for the first time to sing the National Anthem. This unique project went underway after Bharatbala 'couldn't find any National Anthem in the stores.' Conceived by Kanika Myer and Bharatbala, the music has been produced by AR Rahman.

A decade ago when Bala started making his 'India centric' films, he probably didn't know his name would become synonymous with Independence and patriotism. From Vande Mataram in 1997 to Jana Gana Mana today, Bala has indeed come a long way. But the man who has marketed India to Indians insists he doesn't believe in pop patriotism. So never mind the glossy picture of India we see in his videos and advertisements (remember the Hamara Bajaj campaign?). Guess it's all about being proud of being an Indian at the end of the day.

Don't be rude or interrupt others who are having a conversation. Ethnic slurs, personal insults and abuses are rather uncool. Criticise, but know where to draw the line. No point putting in personal details or links, we won't publish them. Try and write in English and please, stick to the point!
