Hannsika’s father Pradeep is a businessman, while her mom, Mona, is a Dermatologist. Her parents separated in 2004 and Hannsika lives with her mother. Hansika also has a brother Pradeep Motwani. She has appeared in many TV serials, such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thee, Hum 2 Hai Na, Desh Me Nikla Hoga Chand, Shakalaka Boom Boom, Celebrity Fame Gurukool, and Tum Bin as a child artiste.
She also appeared in several TV commercials for Pepsi, Samsung, Hyundai Santro TV, and Bournvita.
Hannsikaa made her debut as a heroine in Puri Jagannath’s Telugu film Desamuduru opposite Allu Arjun.
Hannsika made her debut as a leading actress in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Ka Suroor. The film did good business and Hannsika is now counted as one of the top ten actresses in Bollywood.
She has now appeared several movies. She has also acted in the Tamil film Sarvam.
Currently Hannsika is studying in the eleventh standard at the Podar International School.
