Shreyas Talpade did many soap operas and also did stage shows across Maharastra. He has worked for many years in Marathi theatre. His wife's name is Deepti.
He made his debut in Bollywood with Nagesh Kukunoor's Iqbal in which he played the role of a deaf and dumb youngster aspiring to be a cricketer. Shreyas was praised by critics for his work in that film. He also acted in Kukunoor's Dor for which he won the Screen Award for Best Actor in a Comic Role 2007.
His recent releases are Aggar, Dil Dosti Etc and Om Shanti Om.
His next project was came in the form of Kukunoor's Bombay To Bangkok which didn't do well at the box office. He is also working in a movie for MF Hussain.
Shreyas is also producing a Marathi comedy film, Kaande Pohe.
