Sohail Khan’ father is the renowned scriptwriter Salim. He is Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s brother. His other brother is actor Arbaaz Khan.
He made his debut in the film, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, in 2002.
He started his career as a producer and director making his directorial debut with the 1997 action thriller Auzaar which starred his brother Salman Khan and Sanjay Kapoor.
He then directed both of his brothers Salman and Arbaaz in the films Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) and Hello Brother (1999).
In 2002 he wrote, produced, directed and starred in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya which did not do well at the box office and failed to launch his career as an actor.
He had his first hit in the film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005) in which he co-starred with brother Salman Khan.
He also produced and starred in the multi-starrer Fight Club: Members Only, which also did not do well at the box office. In 2006 he starred in the boxing drama Aryan(2006) for which his performance was appreciated but the film failed to do well.
He recently produced Partner which stars his brother Salman and Govinda in the lead. It was a runaway success at the box office.
