Behind the scenes' defines the common profile of us event managers! The Filmfare Awards is an event managed by 360 Degrees Experience of the Times of India group, where I work. It's one of our most prestigious events. A brilliantly decorated stage, starlit award function, media coverage – but little do you know of the kind of effort and man hours utilised to put up this awesome show. That's our life.

But there are those moments which cheer you up! On December 19, 2007, at a dealers meet for Reliance Consumer Finance at Hotel Sun 'n' Sand, Pune, we had the dealers let their hair down to the performance of Band of Boys (remember their famous track Meri Neend Ud Gayi Hai?). The client was ecstatic with the response.

And to top it all, we had Karan Oberoi from the band pull our whole team on stage and dance with them. I happily danced with Karan, whom I have admired first as an actor and then as singer. And to think, the guy is going strong with Mona Singh of Jassi fame!

Now that's really 'behind the scenes', ain't it?
