Fan dines with veteran Biswajit

Out of 10 teenagers, you will find at least nine are star-struck and religiously worship their favourite actor or sportsperson, or any famous personality. I wasn't an exception either.
Though I wasn't into worshiping any star, I liked (and still like) to show off the snaps in which I would be sitting or standing beside any film icon. Here, I would like to share a rather unusual experience of mine, where yesteryears' actor Biswajit came to my place. Just to meet our family.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention that having a journalist sister really helps in this regard. Much to my sister's disgust, I often tugged along with her whether she went to any celeb's engagement party or to some concert where I would get to see celebs much closer than I would have been able to see without…well, not binoculars but my sister's company!
Thus, this incident was special because it had an emotional touch to it. Biswajit has been my dad's favorite for years and I had grown up watching dad praising his films. So, by default, I had started liking him too.
Our anticipation peaked when he called my sister and told her that their car was near our home and asked for further directions to the house.
And shortly, Biswajit and his graceful wife entered our living room. His tall build and extremely fair complexion makes him look distinguished but he hardly had any airs of being such an icon of his time.
In a few minutes, the two were at ease, and with their hassle-free attitude made us forget that they were amongst us. They, being Bengali like us, surely helped them loosen up.
Biswajit asked me everything from the power of my specs to my future plans. We all had a great time that evening. They suggested my sister shift to Mumbai, where she would be getting plenty of opportunities in her field. Co-incidentally or not, my sister is happily placed there.
Our discussions flowed smoothly as Biswajit and his wife told us how they got married and how eager their daughter was to join the film industry. Later, dinner followed. We had ordered Chinese as both of them like it. Dinner had never tasted better!
Looking back, that evening will be one of the most remembered evenings of my life. I hope to meet him soon, again.

Good at least a fan is able to sit with his favourite star after he is almost forgotten by the industry and the cinegoers.
those were the times when even an actor like joy mukerjee had fans. At least biswajeet can be rated much better. Beside i understand he is quite recognised in bengal where his son is a superstar.
let accept and respect sentiments of people who relishes their good old days.
Ya right , just another one of those dumb bong bong meets where 2 bongs meet and try to tell the rest of the world what a great meeting it was - the truth is when 2 bongs meet no matter how stupid they seem to the rest of the world - they always think they have done mankind a favor...Tsk tsk
