It was one of those rainy days in Mumbai. And in this city, when it rains, it pours! So there I was, trying hard to hold up my umbrella walking along Marine Drive to get a bus. The sea was raging and it was very windy. And just when I had given up hopes of finding a cab, a private vehicle drove up to me. Now, my first reaction would have been to walk away. But for some strange reason, I stopped too. And I bent to see who was in the car. Just like they show in the movies, the car window rolled down. Only it wasn’t some young boy. But when the salt-n-pepper haired Naseeruddin Shah poked his head out, I almost swooned. I have always been a bit of a Naseer fan myself. So seeing him so closely offering me a lift left me speechless. Of course, Naseer was as charming as he is on screen. But I was so overwhelmed I simply couldn't make a coherent conversation. And long after I got off the car, I couldn’t help wondering if all this really happened.
