She was last seen as a host for the breakfast show, Good Morning Zindagi, on 9X and a cameo in the afternoon serial Bhabhi. No prize for guessing, she is here to replace Prachi Desai aka Bani in the show.
Although the show has taken a 16-year-leap, Ram Kapoor aka Jai Walia (Bani's husband) looks as fit as ever considering he was shown in his late 40s when he married Bani in the serial. Now, Gurdeep aka Lolita aka Bani, who happens to have two daughters of marriageable age looks like their elder sister sans a single grey streak. (Well, one shouldn't use his/her brain much while watching these soaps. Isn't it?)
Gurdeep emerges as the beautiful sari clad Bengali girl in a palatial house. She looks lost and loves to spend her time sketching. A 16 year leap with a murderer raising innocent children that she once murder is a disgusting storyline. Jai walia wedding and bedding a murderer, well he hasn't got a brain so what can you expect. The magic of ks has long disappeared. End it soon. The revenge is worthless as meera the murderer has lived your youth with jai walia and raised and influenced ban's children. What is the point of the revenge? The children have suffered, the audience has suffered ... Only ekta and her destructives haven't suffered because they have no loyalty to the original characters or the integrity of the story or to a loyal audience that have made bani and jai walia iconic characters. Clones of already existing shows and characters is not creative, fresh or innovative. Krap se should be cancelled se.
