REVIEW: Are SRK-Saif losing it?!
If the music of Taare Zameen Par did not win any awards it did not exactly come as a surprise either. Because Yash Raj films are mighty cheesed off with the well-known trio for the music debacle of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom…
The Saif Kareena package received adequate mileage both on stage and off stage. But that was only to be expected considering Tashan is the next big blockbuster from Yash Raj films.
Let’s take a look at some of these boo-boos….
Aamir Khan of course took the cake. Probably, not wanting to stop Prasoon Joshi and Darsheel Safary, from attending the function, even video clippings of Taare were not made available. At least when Lagaan released five years ago Aamir may have boycotted the functions but he did provide video clippings for the same. Guess he’s just getting cranky with age.
If Om Shanti Om had the batli awards then the 53rd Annual Filmfare Fairone Awards had the Na-real awards. One of the na-real awards (with a decorated coconut as the trophy) was given to Vinod Chopra for the speed at which his film returned from the Oscars. But almost everybody knows about the conflict between Shah Rukh and Vinod Chopra regarding the Oscar controversy. Guess Shah Rukh was just using a public platform to settle personal scores.
And this was not the only instance where SRK was hitting out at his detractors. He even lamented the fact at not being invited for the famous Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding. Considering this one event polarized the entire industry into two clear camps, SRK should have shown the maturity to leave it alone.

Brilliant show srk and saif.... This was the best filmfare awards function ever - free from all the boring dramas, this was witty and engaging....
Srk and saif need a spanking of a lifetime. They have gone beyond all limits of decency.
He made fun of farah khans triplet that was born for 2 weeks ago,he made fun of ashutosh jodha-akbar and he made fun of karan johar(his best friend).It was good at sanjay,he tried to turn the people against king khan before the release of saawariya and oso when he said who is srk to say that he can crush everyone but let me tell you something srk is the face of bollywood,well lets say he is the industry!People sayed ab was one man industry,well let mee tell you what a man industry is,it is you decide what is hit and flop.The bachans did not had a single hit since the war came out against king khan,saawariya became flop of his attitude against king king khan!It did not effect srk a single thing cause his 2 movies became the most grossing of 2007(oso holds the record)
Sanjay leila bhansali should grow up... One should have the heart to digest.. And tolerate a joke. He acted like a cry-baby. He is not a sport. He is a small man. He could deliver hits only with stars (like salman or shahrukh... And then saawariya flopped on the face. He does not seem like a genuine person. He cheated sony of crores... Its they who faced the loss !). This guy looks smooth but is sinister.
Shahrukh or saif better understand one thing , it doesnt take much time to come crashing down from the top. Anything which flies on top has to come to the ground zero. One major mistake srk has already done is ipl and another major flop from his side will ensure the same.

very well said (referring to your last comment for this post on march 5th)... You've said what i wanted to say and probably have said it more aptly than i would have!! Great job!
As for the one who's written this article, i'd say that if, in srk's hosting, you found some comments smeared with grudge against vidhu vinod chopra or bhansali, where were you when the two latter guys were going all out against srk - one when his film was facing competition for the oscar entry and the other one went the whole hog at srk during the release of his film saawariya? If you're a true journo or a writer, you should be able to take a balanced view and not use this article and web site as a source to bring out your personal prejudices against srk, whatever they may be.... Your title for this article itself shows that you're skewed towards srk, albeit on the negative side (you said - "are srk-saif losing it?! At the recent awards ceremony the stars took crass behaviour to a new low!").... Well, if the show was that bad, why did all the live as well as tv audiences stay glued to their seats giving sony the highest trps they've got in years? Audiences are the best judge of what they like and don't. Only if they like something will they spend time or money on it. And it's now more than clear that audiences shower both aplenty on srk!!
so get real and accept the reality staring at your face....
It was simply the best filmy award function hosting i've seen in years.... Srk and saif did a brilliant job. They had audiences shed tears of joy watching the duo in their essentials - wit....
and it's also fun to see the big stars be a little real and let their guards down which is what srk and saif did. Especially srk. Saif seemed a little guarded... Actually srk literally stole the show.... His hosting was quite restrained i must say else given his wit and intelligence, he'd have given audience much more....
no wonder the trp for sony during the awards' function were the highest ever they gotten in the last few years!!
Well i truly enjoyed the jokes.Normally all the award functions are v predictable and boring.But this one was diff, i guess being public figures these film people must be used to such jokes and srk and saif's compering did make us laugh and thats what matters...I hope they repeat this every yr..Too much of goody-ness is bad,i like srk's sarcasm,hes like chandler bing...
