REVIEW: Kaho Na Yaar... is funny!
For once, we find a reality show that is indeed funny. Kaho Na Yaar Hai, a celebrity reality game show on Star Plus is different in its treatment and has something new to offer. The show presents celebrities and their best friends indulging in funny, mischievous and interesting games and thereby undertaking the true test of friendship. The team with the highest score emerges a winner.
Kaho Na Yaar Hai features celebrities with their best friends, competing in two separate teams and is an entertaining mix of warmth, fun, madness, camaraderie, revelation and sheer high spirits. One can watch his/her favourite stars from a really close quarter and know interesting trivia about them too.
Karan, who has had a successfully acting stint in various Balaji shows and is also currently playing the male lead in Star Plus' primetime show Kasturi, is doing a fairly good job as the host.
The last episode saw Bollywood's sexy siren Mallika Sherawat respond to silly brain teasers like, 'If it takes three minutes to boil an egg, what time does it take to boil three eggs?' To which Mallika answered nine minutes and lost the last round to Sonu Nigam, the other guest for the evening. Her silly response had Sonu Nigam and all others present on the sets in splits. Sonu emerged as the winner, answering the real name of AR Rahman as Dilip Shankar, after which Mallika handed over the prize to Sonu.
