Raising a toast to the ladies who made Shah Rukh Khan what he is

The year 2007 for Shah Rukh was unique. He acted only with newcomers and barely-known actresses. Of course that didn't stop Chak De! India and Om Shanti Om from being the biggest hits of the year. But there was a time when the King Khan was paired only with the most established names in Bollywood.

Increasingly today, Shah Rukh seems keen on carrying his film on his lonesome shoulders. SRK's films, just as Aamir's and Amitabh's, are increasingly becoming more focussed on him than the leading ladies. Yet during his younger days Shah Rukh's onscreen chemistry with his women was something many of us looked forward to. We list out the top five, not necessarily in that order.

It was with some debate that Preity Zinta was kept out of this list. She has not worked with the Khan too often. And in two of their films – Kal Ho Na Ho and KANK – she stepped in as a replacement. For Kal… Kareena was the first choice. And when Kajol turned down KANK, Rani was promoted and starred opposite Abhishek and Preity filled in Rani's void. Whew! It is not rani's void whichwas taken uo by priti but kajol's void

What a whole load of rubbish. Doesn't make a wee bit sense according to my sense. But none-the-less everyone has to make an opinion and makes one irrespective of whatever medium
