SRK: The gizmo freak

Shah Rukh has always been very gadget savvy. But funnily enough it was Amitabh Bachchan who beat him in the blogosphere.

One cannot help but be amazed at the number of comments his blog receives. And sure enough Amitabh seems to have noticed it too. "I had a little more time than usual to look through the comments and am amazed at the rapidity of the responses and the complexities of their contents," he writes in one of his latest posts.

And unsurprisingly, he's been talking like never before – taking on Shatrughan Sinha, Ramadoss and everyone and everything he thinks are worth taking on.

Traditionally, Bachchan relied on a select few scribes to convey his messages. These journalists were looked upon as demigods within the industry. After all a celebrity would rather trust a journalist than a publication.

But now with the blog, Bachchan finds himself quoted, in the very words he has used, in practically all the publications in the country. Industry insiders now go to the extent of saying that these 'former favourite journalists' have now lost their exclusivity and are left rubbing their palms.

Unlike Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan has always been a bit of a blogger. In fact he was one of the earliest celebrity blogger we knew of. Aamir is known to be a man who has used the media better than anyone else. He has always chosen when and what he wants to speak. "What started off as a DVD blog for Lagaan, he said in an interview, "got me hooked on to it!"

Don't be rude or interrupt others who are having a conversation. Ethnic slurs, personal insults and abuses are rather uncool. Criticise, but know where to draw the line. No point putting in personal details or links, we won't publish them. Try and write in English and please, stick to the point!
