Shah Rukh: Who IS Vinod Chopra?
Shah Rukh Khan's PR skills are not limited to the industry alone. In 2006 Paheli was chosen as India’s official entry to the Oscars and surprisingly nobody made a hue and cry about it. In 2007 when Eklavya was chosen as India’s official entry to the Oscars Bhavana Talwar decided to move court. There was no reason for Vinod Chopra to drag SRK into this controversy. But Vinod being Vinod made a few snide remarks about Paheli. Which did not go down too well with Shah Rukh Khan. SRK opted out of Raj Kumar Hirani’s new film and bided his time. At the Filmfare awards Vidhu Vinod Chopra was presented with the Nariyal award. SRK also made a crack about how Vinod only wins awards for films made by Raj Kumar Hirani. Needless to say Vinod was not present at the Filmfare awards. And SRK is now at a stage where he does not have to worry about the Vinod Chopras of this world.
