It comes as a real surprise to see almost every A-list actor — be it Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda or Priyanka Chopra — featuring in this list of long-forgotten films. These films got delayed for various reasons - lack of takers, lack of funds etc etc. While few just tried to make it to the theatres, some tried harder, others just called it quits. Awaiting release for 12 long years.
About the film: The working title was Aaryaman, before it was changed to Zamaanat. The film has been put on hold for numerous reasons, varying from Karisma Kapoor's attitude, to the makers running into financial crisis. It was almost considered shelved at one point in time. However the makers sorted the problems and went on to complete the shoot. Later, the movie was delayed due to certain problems including a distributor's demand for dropping Arshad Warsi from the film. The producer decided not to drop the actor. Amitabh Bachchan got busy with his other projects and couldn't spare date's to dub for the film, director S Ramanathan decided to rope in Sudesh Bhonsle to dub Amitabh's remaining portion. This caused some friction between the two, which has been recently sorted out. Now the dubbing is complete but the film is yet to see the light of the day.

I am surprised that so many films made at a huge cost are still awaiting release. Most of these films have a good star cast and yet finding no buyers.? Is it because these films are based on weak subjects with a poor story line. It is clear that some of these are stuck up due to ego clash . A real shame.
