A good death scene can do wonders for an actor's career. Ask Amitabh Bachchan who has perhaps some really famous death scenes to his credit.
Recently son Abhishek Bachchan's character did manage to evoke quite a lot of sympathy when he was shot dead in Sarkar Raj [READ REVIEW].
Ditto for Emraan Hashmi in Jannat [READ REVIEW] and Rajeev Khandelwal in Aamir [READ REVIEW] as all these films did reasonably well at the box office. So here's looking at some the most famous death scenes in Bollywood.
Amitabh Bachchan in Sholay, Deewar, Shakti and many more (whew!)
Industry folklore has it that Amitabh Bachchan was roped in for the role of Jai as a last option. So being the junior most member of the cast, it was perhaps obvious that Bachchan's character would have to die first. But by the time the film released, Zanjeer happened and Bachchan's sacrificial act in Sholay only added to his popularity. The truth about Jai's coin, his unfinished love story and Kishore Kumar's sad version of the legendary Yeh Dosti track makes it almost impossible to remain dry eyed while watching this scene. Amitabh Bachchan died in many films since then – Deewar, Shakti, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and Agneepath being the more memorable ones. And each time he breathed his last on screen, Bollywood's box office records wnet through the ceiling.

I think all of them are good actors and they managed to perform those scene well enough.
I felt very pity for imran hashmi when he dies in jannat.........I didnt like the ending of jannat.

I think one of the most death scenes was also of manoj bajpayee in satya which was totally unexpected and shocking. It should be there in this list.
