Age is not on his side but this has not affected his appeal, especially among the female viewers. People loved him in (once again) Ekta Kapoor's Ghar Ek Mandir. (This was one of Ekta's initial shows, so the letter 'K' had not yet gained importance.) He was also spotted in some films like Monsoon Wedding and Kal, Yesterday Aur Tomorrow. Ram won the best actor award for his role of Jai Walia in Zee's popular show Kasamh Se…, and with his co-star Prachi Desai (Bani) also won the couple of the year award for their on-screen chemistry.

And after wife Gautami has been roped in to play Tulsi in Kyunki…, he is rumoured to make an entry as her love interest. People will get to see the couple together again on screen. Well, some people, like fine wine, only mature with age!
