Lara gushes over Jhoom Barabar...
She's one star who has been with IIFA either as host, or now, as a contest jury member. But actress Lara Dutta tells CNN-IBN in a chat that she is high on more than just the awards function.
Archita Kashyap: It's IFFA awards time and here's a star looking for a star. Have you found the star so far?
Lara Dutta: Well, we hope to find one tonight. We have shortlisted candidates and we definately hope we find that one boy and one girl who will get there that night.
Archita Kashyap: Looking for the right kind of people, going through resumes, did you feel like an HR person doing all that?
Lara Dutta: Yes, almost. Things that we were asked to look for was a sense of humour, but one can't really tell the way a person looks just from a photograph. We were told to look out for personality traits that stood out.
Archita Kashyap:
Well, this is the third time I'll be hosting IIFA. I have hosted it in Genting Highlands in Malaysia, in Dubai and this will be the third time. They are a fantastic company to be associated with and it's a fantastic award function too.
Archita Kashyap: But it's a beautiful country and I'm sure you just won't be stuck with the function in Yorkshire?
If I can get out for a while and do some sightseeing, why not?
Archita Kashyap:
Yes, I'm very excited about both Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Partner. They are looking good.
Archita Kashyap:
It is. If you loved Bunty aur Babli, this brings back Shaad's (Ali) crazy desi cinema. It's very young and high on energy. It's got great music. It's great to be part of the film.
