'My parents were shocked'
Rumours of Rani Mukerji's wedding have been making more news than her movies of late. The actress got candid about the many reports of her marriage in an exclusive interview with CNN-IBN's Entertainment Editor, Rajeev Masand
Rajeev Masand: Let us start with the awkward questions first. In the last one year the only thing that everyone has been talking about is your impending marriage. Why do you think these rumours gathered so much steam in the last one year?
Rani Mukerji: You will have to ask your colleagues that because they were the ones who started it. But it is quite scary if I think of it right now. It was funny in the beginning when they played it on all the channels but then it got weird because they kept saying that I was engaged. Ironically, I was shooting in Yash Raj Studios that day for Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Konkona is getting married in the last reel of the film and we were all doing the Kachchi Kaliyan song and Konkona comes in to my room and says 'what the hell is happening?' And I just said 'I have no clue'. We had been shooting from morning to night. So, it was quite irresponsible on the media's part to say something without any facts to back it up.
Rani: 'I was lifted in the air with cranes'
Rajeev Masand: But everyone is sort of obsessed to get you married.
Rani Mukerji: It is strange. Though it is great being married but it is not that great when you are not married and are not intending to get married either. Then the news can be quite harmful. So, I found it hilarious in the beginning but then I made a trip to London and people actually came up to me to congratulate me. That is when I realised that people begin to believe in rumours, especially those who live abroad because they only have the press to give them news.

Poor rani..These rumors are costing here her career which she worked so hard for!!!!!!!She have been delivering flops only...Hope she can come back soon..Miss her!!!!
