Rani romances the dinosaurs
Rani Mukerji plays the role of an angel in her forthcoming film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, releasing on June 27. It's a film directed by Kunal Kohli and produced by Aditya Chopra. Saif Ali Khan plays the male protagonist in the film which also stars four kids and Amisha Patel. In an interview, the leading lady of this film, Rani Mukerji told us some very interesting facts about the movie. Read on:
How was it playing an angel in the film?
Well, it was fun. Kunal had specific looks in mind for me. One was the part where I'd be in heaven and the other, longer part, where I'd be on earth. For the second look, Manish Malhotra designed an outfit that I wear throughout the film. It's a first of sorts.
How was it working with Kunal and Saif together for the second time after Hum Tum?
What works for us as a team is that we aim to make films that are entertaining. Kunal has been lucky for me. I won my first ever best actress award for Hum Tum and I am hoping he proves lucky for me this time too. Our team also clicks because we really gel well. Manish, Kunal, Saif and I understand each other. We trust each other and our professional instincts. As for Saif, we've both grown as actors since Hum Tum. We always try and help each other to do better in our films. There is no ego between us when it comes to improving a scene or our performance in a particular scene.
What's so special about the song Beetey Kal Se?
I think Beetey Kal Se is one of the most interesting songs I have done in my career. It has a lot of special effects and it's also special because of what Kunal has tried to say through this song. In this song, the angel takes the four orphans to a museum. She takes them back in time when Gandhiji was alive. Then she takes them into space and in a spacecraft. There's also this part where I dance with the dinosaurs. Overall, it's a very entertaining song with small messages.
