'SRK couldn't have done this film'
But could he have managed to shoot the same with Shah Rukh or Akshay? Pat comes the reply, "SRK couldn't have done this film. We needed an actor to tell our story, not a star."
A close friend of cinematographer-turned-director Santosh Sivan, Alphonse watched him closely before he finally decided to take the plunge. A complete film buff, he gorges on world cinema whenever he gets time. Alphonse says, "Oh, it's been a motto in life to watch at least one film a day. Although my work doesn't permit me to do that, I'm pretty close to watching four-five films a week on an average. Now, that's not bad either!"
Before trying his hands at wildlife cinematography, Alphonse dabbled with news and current affairs. He worked at the Indira Gandhi Open University, New Delhi. But it lasted for just three months. Reminisces Alphonse, "I knew I'd be a cinematographer. I loved films. I drifted towards wildlife cinematography primarily because I wanted to be 'different' from my friends, who would blindly follow the conventional path."

Its good they have not taken srk otherwise script would have got killed. As mentioned by director they need actor not star. Srk has become star but will never become actor like big b, dilip kumar and aamir khan
Aamir is the best.Shahrukh is next.
