'SRK couldn't have done this film'
With hardly any opportunity of wildlife filmmaking in India, he spent time in Delhi, doing whatever he could. His break came with filming the Tibet portion of The Lost Civilisations, a 10-part series by Times Television, directed by Harry Marshall. That won him Emmy award in 1995-96.
Alphonse is often hassled by the fact that despite our rich wildlife resources and huge population, there are very few wildlife filmmakers in the country. He says, "Western producers are the ones filming wildlife in India. What about the new generation? The government needs to encourage youngsters in this field."
After Aamir, Alphonse now wants to balance his usual wildlife stint with more of Bollywood projects. Come September and he will start shooting for yet another UTV project. "The film will be shot in Goa. I don't have further details as of now. I guess, you have to wait and watch," he signs off.

Aamir is the best.Shahrukh is next.
