After struggling for more than five years in this industry, finally actor Ashish Chowdhry seems to be getting his due as an actor. Post Indra Kumar's blockbuster Dhamaal, the actor has been getting really good offers from renowned banners and he is getting meaty roles to play.

A little birdie informed us that Suniel Shetty was so impressed with Ashish's performance in Dhamaal that he thought of signing him for a three-film contract for his production house Popcorn Entertainment. A source from the company reveals, "Yes, we have signed Ashish Chowdhry for a three-film contract because he seems to be very promising as an actor." It seems that it was actually Sanjay Dutt, who recommended Ashish's name to his friend Suniel Shetty.

"Sanju baba is very fond of Ashish as a person and he also feels that the actor has a brilliant comic timing. He insisted Suneil must watch Dhamaal and Ashish's work. After the screening of Dhamaal, Suniel immediately called Ashish and signed him for Easy Monthly Instalment, which also stars Sanju baba," says the source.

Ashish has been struggling as an actor for the last five years, making a couple of wrong choices. "He was completely written off by the critics. But finally, Dhamaal gave him a new lease. Now he has decided he will only be concentrating on comedy and will keep himself away from other genres. He has finally understood that people like to see him in lighter roles and he is not mature enough to handle serious characters at this point of time," according to the source.

Ashish's other two films for Popcorn Entertainment are under wraps. "Suniel will soon make an announcement and most probably, those films will also star Sanjay Dutt," the source added.

Ashish might require sporting a different look for Easy Monthly Instalment, which is again a situational comedy. "He is working on different looks and he will soon be finalising one," says the source. Meanwhile, Indra Kumar has also signed Ashish Chowdhry for his sequel Phir Dhamaal, and Ravi Chopra has signed him for a cameo in the Amitabh-starrer Bhoothnath.
