The couple's split was just to publicise a skin-care product endorsement

Yesterday, we carried a report about Malaika and Arbaaz ending their 10-year-marriage. As reported by Mumbai Mirror this morning, Malaika even went so far as to state, "What do you want to know – Arbaaz is remarrying? Well yes he is remarrying."

Although the item girl didn't divulge any more information, her statement was confirmation enough to have rumours fly all over the place.

But as it turns out the couple are still happily together. The rumours about Arbaaz remarrying were sparked off to create a build-up around the launch of a skin care product, which had the couple as their brand ambassadors. The launch held on Thursday night, saw the two playing Greek Gods – Adonis and Aphrodite in the act of getting married. So might we say that it was Arbaaz's 'remarriage'?

Well, this stunt to get the product some publicity worked a little too well, but not in the couple's favour, as the industry lashed out angrily against both the tabloid and the couple for trying to pull off this stunt. Senior members of the film fraternity are also condemning this stunt even as we speak.
