Arshad: Munnabhai 3 is still on
Sanjay Dutt's recent arrest had given rise to speculations in the media that Raju Hirani's Munnabhai Chale America has been shelved. Even after Dutt was released on bail, it was clear that he would not be allowed to shoot outside the country.
Moreover, some sections of the media reported that actor Arshad Warsi, who played Munnabahi's lovable sidekick Circuit, had also walked out of the film due to the uncertainty and differences with Dutt.
On meeting Arshad Warsi, he quashed all rumours. This is what he had to say:
"Munnabhai Chale America has not been shelved. These were rumours spread by some gossipmongers. I have not walked out of the film and had no disagreements with Sanjubaba. My character Circuit is still there. Rajkumar Hirani is writing the script. The film will go on the floors when the script is ready."
Well, we sure hope it does. For Munnabhai is not complete without his Circuit.
