Tamil Nadu State Government has announced Kalaimamani awards

Close on the heels of the multiple film awards, the Tamil Nadu State Government has announced the Kalaimamani awards for 2006-2007. These awards are announced annually by the Eyal Isai Nataka Manram. Simbu, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Vishal, Navya Nair, Kanja Karupu, cinematographer Paneerselvam and 60 more famous film personalities have been slected for the same.

The list also includes music director Vidyasagar and lyricists Pa Vijay, Kabilan, Na Muthukumar and playback singers like Thippu, Madhu Balakrishnan and Bombay Jayashree.
