Big B-Salman's big patch-up
Looks like the Bachchans are finally on their winning to winning back their friends in the industry.
First it was Big B's presence at the OSO special screening - perhaps a way of extending the olive branch to SRK. This was followed by reports of Hrithik and Abhi-Ash bonding big time at the Jodhaa Akbar wrap up party.
Apparently the latest in a series of patch ups is Salman Khan. Yes Salman.
Now post Aishwarya Rai’s wedding, it would almost appear impossible to imagine Amitabh working with Salman Khan. The two stars had last shared screen space in the 2006 Ravi Chopra tearjerker Baabul and have not been interacting ever since for obvious reasons.
The biggest loser in this was a producer called Afzal Khan. Khan is the producer of a long delayed big budget project called God Tussi Great Ho. It stars Amitabh, Salman and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. Now it seems the two will be shooting together after more than a year.
"After the wedding I thought my film would never see the light of the day. But both Mr Bachchan and Salman have co-operated well," Khan said. The unit has just wrapped up a song which also featured Sohail Khan and are now all set for a 20-day-long schedule.
He says, "My art director Nitin Desai has erected four lavish sets at Film City". The movie also stars Manisha Koirala and Anupam Kher and is directed by Rumi Jaffrey. Afzal gives all the credit to Salman for breaking the ice and getting Bachchan to shoot.
Wonder if Mr Oberoi is next on Bachchan's and Salman's list.
