Michael Moore is making a sequel to his controversial film Fahrenheit 9/11. Overture Films and Paramount Vantage are co-financing and co-producing the yet untitled film, to be released next year. Overture will distribute the film in the US, while Vantage will handle the international market.

Fahrenheit 9/11 was a hit at the worldwide box-office with its scathing indictment of Bush's war on terrorism. It also won the coveted Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2004. The sequel could be a part of Cannes next year.

The sequel will pick up from where Fahrenheit 9/11 left off. Since then, Bush's popularity has plummeted, while the Iraq war continues and the economy falters.

Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 is the highest-grossing documentary ever in the America, earning US$119.1 million. It grossed another US$100 million at the international box-office.
