Kamal Haasan takes on King Khan

The actor-producer is trying to sell Dasavathaaram for an astronomical price

There's no denying the fact that Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are the rulers when it comes to earning revenues both in Mumbai and the overseas market.Their films sell like hot cakes. But according to the latest buzz, Kamal Haasan is trying to give SRK and Akki with his new film Dasavathaaram. According to the grapevine, he has been demanding Rs 12 crore from the Mumbai distributor circuit itself.

A close source from Naaz building says, "Yes, its true. Dasavatharam is one of the hottest movies in the trade. The reason being they have invested Rs 50 crore on this film. They are confident to recover the money. But distributors in Mumbai are in a fix. Firstly, Kamal is not a Bollywood star and doesn't stand a compitition to SRK and Akshay. Secondly, Kamal's last few films in Hindi didn't do well at the box office."

Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam is directed by K S Ravikumar and is produced by Oscar Ravichandran. Kamal plays 10 different roles in this film. For he each of his roles he has dubbed in 10 different voices. Kamal himself has written the story, screenplay and dialogues.The film also stars Mallika Sherawat and Asin.
