Mahima launches IIFA Bling
It's almost time for the IIFA awards and efforts are on to keep the brand in the spotlight just weeks before the event takes place in Bangkok.
Actress Mahima Chaudhary played her part to keep the IIFA flag flying high by launching a new line of clothing called IIFA Bling. The line, which consists mostly of Indian women's wear has been designed by the likes of Vikram Phadnis, Renu Chopra and Archana Kochhar. But what's the connection between an awards ceremony and fashion merchandise?
Mahima Choudhary says, "It's a wonderful concept where clothes designed for the stars by ace designers will be readily available at the local outlets and at a very low prices."
And what is Mahima Chaudhary's style statement?
"Now days, everyone wears both Indian and western clothes, but I prefer Indian styles more," pat comes the reply from the star. Indian it is for Mahima Chaudhary then! So much so, that she couldn't resist trying the desi designs on the spot.
