Anushka Sharma has been selected for the lead role for Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi after a nationwide hunt. She was chosen over established heroines. Anil Kapoor's daughter, Sonam Kapoor of Saawariya fame, had also been shortlisted.
