'Mom and Dad are my biggest fans'

Says debutant Sikandar Kher who's ready with two releases this year

Sikandar Kher is raking in quite a few fans even as we sit and await the release of his official debut - Woodstock Villa. But very few of us know that the actor's first shot was actually on the sets of a different movie altogether. Yes, we may be well into 2008 but the actors next and first in the same go - Summer 2007 is slated for release soon.

It was actually during the shoot of his movie that veteran actors Anupam and Kirron Kher first got to see their son's will and determination towards acting and films. Before any of us surrendered our hearts to this actor - it was Ma and Pa who officially became his first fans.

They were in tears and awe after seeing his dedication towards his work. While Sikandar was sHooting 16 to 20 hours a day in Mumbai, his parents missed him a lot more when he went off to remote locations especially since they didn't get to speak to him for days on end.

Summer 2007 is a story that revolves around five students and their travels across rural India. It is a contemporary theme through eyes of our youth which will make every Indian think and stand up for their beliefs and convictions.
