After weeks of speculation, a dozen media releases and reports of dragging each other to court, T-Series and Ram Gopal Varma have finally settled their differences. In an SMS sent out to the press on Wednesday morning, T-Series Chairman and Managing Director, Bhushan Kumar revealed that both parties had reached an amicable settlement.

According to the SMS, T-Series and Varma will be reuniting for Sarkar Raaj (the sequel to Varma's hit Bachchan starrer Sarkar), which opens later this year.

Over the past few months, Varma and Kumar had been clashing over the audio/video rights of the director's films. While T-Series had claimed to have bought the rights for 14 films, Varma had accused the company of paying him for only four of the 14 titles.

The audio company insisted that Varma's remuneration had been adjusted in RGV Ki Aag's excessive promotional budget. Out of the 10 movies, the real bone of contention was Varma's next film Sarkar Raaj.

But all seems to be well, as the two have 'compromised on their differences'. When contacted, Bhushan Kumar said, "The clash was always over Sarkar Raaj, as the other films are too small. It was a mutual decision to work together again."

But what about the cases filed with the Police and EOW? Kumar added, "If you refer to the paperwork, the focus of the cases was only on this one film. Since we are doing Sarkar Raaj together, we will obviously not fight each other in court and the matter is resolved."

Incidentally, the promotion of Sarkar Raaj kickstarts on April 20, coinciding with Abhi-Ash's first wedding anniversary. The keenly anticipated sequel is an important project for all the names involved. So perhaps it made sense for the producer and director to shake hands and make Sarkar Raaj a profitable venture for all.
