Salman-Lara sizzle again
The Indian Film Company has signed a co-production deal with Sohail Khan Productions. They will be producing two films one of which has the same cast and crew as blockbuster Partner, which has been one of the biggest hits of 2007.
The second film, tentatively tilted Mr and Mrs Khanna, has Salman Khan and Lara Dutta in the lead roles and is scheduled to roll in November. The pre-production work has begun. The first film from Sohail Khan productions was Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya with Salman and Kajol. Later, they produced Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya, which became a top grosser.
Says Sohail Khan of Sohail Khan Productions, "We are very happy to get associated with The
Indian Film Company for these ventures. We hope to relive the commercial success of Partner and also deliver entertaining content." Both films will feature Salman Khan in the lead.
Says Sandeep Bhargava, the advisor to the board of The Indian Film Company, "The Indian Film Company is keen on getting associated with top of the line motion picture projects. Partner is slated to be the biggest hit of 2007. Hopefully, the next film with the same star cast can re-create the magic at the box-office. Salman Khan has a great track record so far. Hopefully, these two films will create a long-term relationship. "
