SPECIAL: H'wood hunters of 2007!
It's that time of the year when we take a stock of all the starry movers and shakers who managed to remain in the spotlight through the year. Here's a look at the key headline hunters of this year.
2007 was all about couples – those who moved together and those who didn't. Soccer star David Beckham made news when he signed a multi-million dollar deal with soccer team LA Galaxy and moved to Hollywood with wife Victoria.
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie had Brad Pitt tailing her as she went about her charitable efforts and film festivals at Venice and Cannes. And somewhere in between they added a fourth one to their brood – this time a Thai orphan named Pax.
But for some couples, the year proved not so lucky. Former flames Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake were spotted in an animated hug at the premiere of Shrek the Third. So, what did the singer think of this public display of affection?
"Sorry about that, a pretty lady pokes you and wants to hug you, I'm sorry, you walk away?" Timberlake said.
Talking of singers, Britney Spears was on a roller coaster ride, what with a divorce, a custody battle for her sons and a disastrous comeback. Remember her 'gimmie more' act at the MTV Video Music Awards?
So was the case with Amy Winehouse. This Grammy award winner was caught in the tight spot for meddling in her husband's court case. Add to that, reports of drug addiction and botchy live performances.
The year also saw the reunion of the Spice Girls. Apart from releasing an album, the Brit girls went on a world tour.
Meanwhile American paparazzi worked overtime thanks to Paris Hilton, who was put behind bars for drunken driving, but she was out on parole after 23 days.
And keeping up with her was her friend Nicole Richie who was prisoned as well for drinking and driving. But here lies the difference, Richie bailed out in 82 minutes only.
