Thank you Aditya Chopra!
This was followed by Horton Hears A Who, and a more brilliant animation film I have yet to see. It’s a must-watch not just for the lovers of Dr Seuss books but for kids and adults. The only film which fits into this category is The Simpsons. Then there is Darjeeling Limited, which is the story of three brothers who haven’t spoken to each other in years. They set off on a journey hoping to put bring some sense into their nonsensical lives.
I’m still left with The Water Horse and The Spiderwick Chronicles, which I have been told are equally delightful. Ordinarily, these films would have been missed as they would have been relegated to the morning shows but now they are being screened in the prime slots. Surprisingly we weren't the only people in the audience. A lot of people whose plans included Tashan have considered alternate options.
I have no idea why Tashan has not released in multiplexes. But am feeling a surge of gratitude for this fact. And hopefully in the future, m’plexes will continue to screen other films instead of having a dozen shows of Tashan. And I'm quite sure there are other people out there who are thinking like me.
