Vellitherai to release across India

Tamil movie buffs can rejoice now

After the success of their first southern venture - Vellitherai, Times Group's entertainment arm, Mirchi Movies is planning to take the movie nationwide. The movie will release in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Kolkata with subtitles on May 2, 2008.

Having won critical acclaim from viewers and critics down south, the producers are absolutely positive of wooing audiences all over.

According to Munish Purii, Chief Operating Officer, Mirchi Movies Ltd, "It is our constant endeavour to reach good content to audiences across markets. Tamil speaking audiences in major markets will now get to view this immensely entertaining film on the big screen. Some of the prints will have subtitles in English for lovers of regional cinema."

Vellitherai is co-produced by Mirchi Movies Limited, Moser Baer India Limited and Duet Movies and features. This remake of the Malayalam blockbuster, Udayananu Tharam, it is directed by Viji with music by the latest sensation GV Prakash.
