Vivek jumps from the 10th floor
Viveik Oberoi will be seen doing a dare devil stunt in his forthcoming film Mission Istanbul. The actor just completed shooting the sequences in Istanbul, where he jumped from a ten-storey building. Not only that, the film also sees Vivek taking a plunge on the roof of a six-storey building from a chopper.
Despite being asked by director Apoorva Lakhia to take a body double, the actor insisted on giving the shots himself. Vivek who plays a Turkish commando called Rizwan had to take special training in action from the specially hired stuntman, George Agular, from Hollywood.
Vivek's dad, Suresh Oberoi reveals, "No one expected Vivek to perform the stunt but he was very adamant. Even co-star Suneil Shetty was a bit apprehensive. But Vivek was adamant and performed the stunt with elan."
Aparently, the film has a lot of action sequences by Vivek and Zayed Khan. Vivek had to take yoga lessons, go for weight training session and Tai Chi classes part of his preparation for the role.
The film also stars Suneil Shetty, Shreya Saran, Shabbir Ahluwalia,Nikitin Dheer and Abhishek Bachchan in a special role. The film is being jointly produced Popcorn Motion Pictures and Balaji Telefilms Ltd.
