Who says Aditya Chopra is an interfering person? We were supposed to release five promos of the film but we had created ten. After seeing all ten promos, I asked Aditya which five he had liked the most. And he replied that all of them were fine. I could go ahead with the five that I liked.
How did you convince Chitrangda to work with you?
That’s a story in itself. We’d heard all about how she had left Mumbai, and there were no plans to return. But I so badly needed an actress of her caliber that I gave her a call. She asked me to send the script. I e-mailed her the script and she gave me an okay on the phone without even meeting me. And one more thing, as I mentioned earlier, I completed Sorry Bhai in 33 days. It would have been simply impossible without Chitrangdha.
The synopsis of Sorry Bhai seems to be remarkably similar to the Hollywood biggie 'Dan in Real Life'.

I didn't even know about it. My script for Sorry Bhai was registered in 2005. Any way Charulata was also a film about a woman feeling attracted to her brother-in-law. These are all universal themes any way.
