Karan Johar's latest venture Dostana starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra will not be distributed by Yash Raj films. Since Yash Raj films had distribution rights for all Karan Johar films in the past, we wonder what went wrong.

This film directed by Johar's assistant Mansukhani and shot in Miami, was offered to the Yash Raj clan on an outright sale basis and not on the usual commission basis. After all, with new distribution companies coming up in the industry, Karan sure had a lot more choices to bank upon.

A source from Karan’s camp revealed, "Looking at the changes brought in by the new players in the industry, and having so many options has made Karan take this step. He is already getting excellent offers from the top players like Studio18, UTV Motion Pictures and Eros Films. The ball is now in the Yash Raj court. So let’s just wait and see."

We are waiting as well...to see where this friendship goes from here.
