BIG Music & Home Entertainment released Jagjit Singh's Gujarati album Jeevan Maran Chhe Ek in Mumbai on Friday, September 21, 2007. This is the ghazal maestro's first album in the language. It has beautifully crafted melodies sung in Jagjit's velvet voice. Lyricist Gulzar released the album at the function.

Putting the soulful lyrics of the late poet Abbas V Vasi 'Mareez' to music was something Jagjit thoroughly enjoyed. On the occasion of the album's release, Jagjit Singh remarked, "Mareez is the Ghalib of Gujarati poetry and it's an honour composing and singing his poetry."

Don't be rude or interrupt others who are having a conversation. Ethnic slurs, personal insults and abuses are rather uncool. Criticise, but know where to draw the line. No point putting in personal details or links, we won't publish them. Try and write in English and please, stick to the point!
