British upcoming star Leona Lewis' reign on the US album charts will soon be over as pop superstar Mariah Carey is heading all the way up to be No.1.
Contactmusic.com reports that Carey's new album E=MC2 opened with sales of 154,000 in the first day of its release and experts predict it will have one of the biggest opening weeks of any album in recent years.
Carey seems to be on a great comeback in recent years after her infamous and embarrassing burnout before the release of her previous album The Emancipation of Mimi.
That album debuted at number one on The Billboard 200 in 2005 and sold 404,000 copies in its first week.
