Pandit Jasraj's Bollywood debut
Director Vikram Bhatt has roped in Maestro Pandit Jasraj for his supernatural thriller 1920. Bollywood is probably the last thing that one would think of, when classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj’s name is mentioned. However, he makes his Bollywood debut in the promotional video of Vikram Bhatt's supernatural thriller 1920.
What is interesting is that he is coming to Bollywood at the age of 78. "It is a brand new feeling for me. I am taking note of all the new experiences in Bollywood,” says Pandit Jasraj. "When Adnan and I first discussed the music score for the film, we wanted a evergreen voice for 1920, and Panit ji's voice is evergreen. We also wanted a fusion of sorts and all the credit goes to Adnan. I have done nothing here," says director Vikram Bhatt.
And do the duo believe in ghosts and have they ever had a brush with spirits? "Yes I do believe in ghosts. I feel that one emotion that cannot be cheated or faked is fear," adds Vikram.
"I feel scared but not too much," says Pandit Jasraj. However, what we have to see is how much of their fear for spirits gets translated on the silver screen to spook out the audiences when 1920 releases in June.
