Rahman to remix his own songs

The singer-composer is making an exception for Aamir Khan Productions

Musical maestro AR Rahman is one composer who is against remixes. Though many of his tracks have made it to various remix compilations, he has never been directly involved with them. (Read: Highest paid live acts in India )

But this time Rahman is making an exception for his Lagaan producer Aamir Khan. It seems in Aamir's ambitious production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Rahman will remix the songs himself. Considering the film is a youthful, love story it's not surprising that the makers are remixing the soundtrack to keep with the times.

According to sources Rahman has composed a young, peppy score, which is unlike any of his recent works. And Rahman was so pleased with the results, he didn't want any other DJ to remix the tracks. (Read: Rahman lets his music speak for him)

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na marks the acting debut of Aamir's nephew Imran Khan. Cast opposite him is Genelia D Souza. The film is co-produced by Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak fame Mansoor Khan and PVR. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na opens across cinemas in June 2008.
