Shibani tries hard to go beyond Zinda

Shibani Kashyap of Zinda Hoon Main fame will be singing a song for Sanjay Gupta’s next. Titled Woodstock Villa this film also happens to be Anupam Kher’s son, Sikander’s debut.

Shibani said, “The song in Woodstock is dark and intense, but has come out very well.”

The singer first came into limelight with her song Sajna Aa Bhi Jaa (Waisa Bhi Hota Hai: Part 2). Since then she has only sung for Sanjay Gupta's banner (Zinda and Shootout at Lokhandwala). Shibani is now in the process of cutting her own album.

Apart from these projects, she has also composed a song for Rohit Shetty’s Ajay Devgan starrer Sunday.

For the singer, it could be a double treat, as the makers are planning a music video to go with the remix version. Needless to say, just like Zinda this video will also feature Shibani.

“It’s a very thrilling number and heightens the impact of the climax,” she said.

While she may not be singing the conventional Bollywood numbers that reach out to the masses, Shibani seems to be trying her best to make a mark on the film music scene.
