It's not often that you get to meet three desi funksters who have gotten up close and personal with the likes of Madonna, Robbie Williams, The Black Eyed Peas, Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis Bextor, U2, Talvin Singh and even Wacko Jacko. Not to mention an appearance with Jude Law in Alfie. These Nu-Brit Asians – Sinbad Phgura, Ammo 'Too Sweet' and Jimi 'The Quiff' – have made a name for themselves with their own formidable dance style of electro funk, ska, latin jazz, hip hop and even Indian music. And now Bollywood has come calling with Anurag Kashyap getting The Players to perform their slick moves in his upcoming film, Dev D. FHM India got the dance meisters together for a fashion spread between mouthfuls of pizza, cups of coffee and a whole lotta funk..

You've worked with several big acts – Kylie, U2, The Black Eyed Peas and even Madonna. What's that been like?

Ammo: Well, it's been a fun experience. Working with these artistes is always great, whether on short films, stage shows or a routine.

With that line up, we wouldn't be able to move a muscle. Do you ever get the shakes performing with all those big names?

Ammo: You don't get that nervous because you know your art form. And you have a lot of confidence in your art form, so it just comes naturally. When we're on stage, we do a lot of acting as well. We become characters - you just lose yourself in the character and the dance.

Kylie, Fergie or Madonna – who would you love to take home to mom?

Ammo: They're all sexy in their own way... though Kylie was really sweet.

What were the blokes like to work with? Any punch-ups we should know about?

Jimi: We've met Robbie Williams on a number of occasions. We did a commercial for one of his albums. But before that he was going out with Nicole (from All Saints) so he'd come by for rehearsals. He was very cool, very chilled out. He's a nice guy. But Jude Law, he's super-cool! He's totally on level. We worked with him during Alfie and he wasn't a diva at all.

And Michael Jackson?

Jimi: With Michael Jackson, you can never really comprehend him. But shaking his hand was really exciting. And he's got really big hands!
