Achint Kaur to re-vamp Kyunki
Remember Mandira (earlier played by Mandira Bedi) in Kyunki... when she underwent plastic surgery to regain access into the Virani household to sabotage Tulsi and Mihir? Well, the plastic surgery outcome of our favourite vamp was Achint Kaur and she did a brilliant job with the role. But somewhere into the script, Achint felt that her character hadn't much depth or anything significant to do. She thus resigned from Kyunki… and pursued other soaps like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and Karam Apna Apna.
But after a year off the series, Achint Kaur’s character has been reworked. As reported in Mumbai Mirror, Riti Chopra, Creative Head of Kyunki… said, "The scriptwriters and Ekta have decided to have Achinit back in the show. She will be reintroduced in the show by March-end. Her character will add the much needed twist to the tale."
"It was a creative decision to have me back in the show." said Achint. "We have an understanding with the production house so our characters come and go as per the demands of the script. Ekta Kpoor called me and I’m back in the show now."
The actress allegedly resigned from the show as she felt that her character didn't have much to do. Well, she’s definitely glad to be back. About her new transition she said, "There will be no major transitions. But the creative team of Kyunki… is working on a few changes in my role."
Although details of the new Mandira haven't been shared, it has been ascertained that Achinit will be playing a negative role as before. Details of her look and other factors are still under wraps.
