Starting 1900 hrs on Monday, your world of entertainment promises to be a lot more colourful. Viacom18's brand new Hindi Entertainment Channel Colors hits the airwaves with a variety of programmes catering to every viewer.

And amongst the line up on Colors is the biggest and boldest reality series ever on Indian television yet, hosted by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar with a team of 13 Bollywood beauties who battle it out in military style boot camps in South Africa for the desi version of Fear Factor.

Akshay Kumar says, "Whether it's fire, water, heights, jumping, helicopters or creepy crawly stunts - you name them and these girls have done them."

Colors CEO, Rajesh Kamat adds, "It's the biggest Bollywood action stunt show. We see it as a Bollywood movie. Every episode is of the scale of a movie."

There's also a bit of mythology in store with Jai Sri Krishna, the first serial to completely focus on Lord Krishna's growing up years. And you could also step into history with Mohe Rang De, a love story in the backdrop of the 1942 Quit India Movement.

Colors also makes an attempt to send across a social message with Balika Vadhu. A first of it's kind, the show explores the issue of child marriage, and the negative impact of this ancient tradition in today's times.

Balika Vadhu producer Lata Sreedhar says, "This show is going to work because it has a message of spreading awareness and it's not been done before on television. Yes, a few documentaries have been made on the subject and films too, but no one remembers much about them."

So for action, drama, mythology and romance tune into Colors and there will be a lot more shades to your Entertainment Quotient starting Monday night.
