It's a gold ring like SRK's
"We all receive presents from fans. Abhijeet, Vineet, I and all the others have our own fan followings the world over and definitely receive fan mail and lavish gifts, but do you see us boasting about it? After his recent antics on the show I just couldn't keep quiet. And that's why I had to say something and believe me, every other contestant came up to me after the show was over and hugged me for speaking up."
When we contacted Rahul about this scenario he seemed to be over the moon with excitement about receiving such a "thoughtful and considerate gift from a fan." So much so that he couldn't help but read out the letter on the show to the entire audience. Mandira Bedi had a special mention in the letter as the fan happened to mention that she "hated" her for being coveted by Rahul!
So what kind of ring do you think Rahul has been sporting? "Well, it's worth Rs 9,500 and perhaps in our time and day it isn't much but think about it," said Vaidya. "It's the sweetest gesture ever. It's similar to the ring SRK wears on his index finger, like a gold wedding band. I really appreciate my fans and want to always thank them all for their support. If I have the opportunity to do it publicly then am I so bad?"
When we asked Rahul what he thought about Harshit's hostility he said, "I didn't like his behaviour at all. I'm more of a chilled out guy and I believe there is more to life than just singing. If you've seen me on the show you will know that I like having fun. But anyway, I think his outburst might just have backfired on him."
