Did he hike his price for the Star Parivaar Awards?

Ronit Roy one of the most popular actors on Star Plus will not be performing at the Star Parivaar Awards. According to Balaji Telefilms who are the producers of the show Ronit is no longer a part of the ceremony. The actor apparently asked for Rs 10 lakh for his performance. May 17 is the date that has been set for the awards.

According to Mumbai Mirror, an industry insider claimed, "Ronit was supposed to perform on the song Main Hoon Don (from the film Don). However, he demanded an exonerated amount, which sent Balaji reeling."

Now it seems Shalin Bhanot (Madan of Sangam fame), will be replacing Ronit.

According to the Mumbai Mirror, Shalin Bhanot, "Ronit had agreed to dance at the Star Parivaar awards. However, it was only of late that he informed Balaji about his price. Though there was very little time left for Balaji to hunt for a replacement, they did not bow down to Ronit's demands. They managed to rope in Bhanot," our source added.

Ronit on his part claims he will be out of town on the due date. He refused to comment on the monetary issues. Bhanot probably being diplomatic claims he is dancing to the number Main Hoon Don but is not aware that he is replacing Ronit Roy.
