Sophie's sensual new passion

TV anchor and actress, Sophie Choudhry has been extremely busy lately. Apparently she's sporting a new passion that caught her fancy years ago in London. Well, it does involve a man but also very sensual dance form...

Here's the scoop... the young diva is learning Salsa from none other than renowned Salsa Guru, Kaytee Namgyal. And you want to know what's really ironic? Sophie allegedly studied Bharat Natyam in London but chose Mumbai as her destination to learn Salsa.

"It should be other way round, I know!" Says Sophie. "Guess I was destined to learn it here."

Sophie is said to have conducted a lot of research on the art form. She adds, "I was so fascinated by Salsa that I watched every film that had that dance form in it. I have also observed that Salsa has taken various forms in different countries. The Salsa practiced in Los Angeles is different from the one in New York. Purteo Rico is the place from where the dance form originated. What I’m learning is the art that was practiced originally."

Practicing with passion, Sophie has reached the intermediate level in a matter of two months. She's hardly able to conceal her excitement as she says, "Kaytee and I are going to perform live on April 5 at the International Salsa Festival. What more could I ask for?"
